The only theatre festival of homeless people in Europe turns 10

The three-day international festival of homeless theatre groups entitled Error 2016 was held in Bratislava over the past weekend. The 10th edition of the only festival in Europe focusing on theatre groups that work with homeless or otherwise socially excluded and disadvantaged people also presented productions from Slovakia, Iceland, Norway, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Spain. Among the headliners of the festival were the Norwegian theatre group called Vardeteatret, which works with prisoners as well as the Czech group called Rozkos (Delight) which helps women working in the sex industry. In addition to theatre production, the Medart conference presented a cross-border project aimed at developing a methodological manual for the education of socially disadvantaged adults via the theatre.
