The State Theatre in Košice has presented a unique staging of Anne Frank's diaries. The story of a teenager who fell victim to the holocaust is brought to the stage by the ballet ensemble of the theatre. Choreographer and director Ondrej Šoth said that this production was also inspired by recent happenings in Slovakia as well as elsewhere in the world with the increasing influence of far-right parties which support racism and fascism. The leading role is played by actress Táňa Pauhofová who is not a ballet dancer.
