Golden Slovak soprano Gabriela Beňačková-Čápová turns 70. She has been renowned in the world thanks to her interpretation of Leoš Janáček's music. The diva was the first Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák and Káťa Kabanová by Leoš Janáček in New York's Metropolitan opera. In the year 1978, she became a soloist of the Vienna state opera and later on of the MET in New York.
