The festival New Drama started in Bratislava on the 9th of May. The event works as a competition but at the same time it presents so called "new drama" from abroad. On the 11th and 12th of May, there will be an international conference held in the Univerzitná knižnica or university library in Bratislava. The speakers include significant international experts - Jarosław Fret a Joanna Klass from Poland, Canadian Michel Vaïs, Benny Lim from Hongkong, Nick Rongjun YU from China, Japanese Manabu Noda, Savvas Patsalidis from Greece and Slovak Dáša Čiripová. As part of the festival, internationally recognised Norwegian playwright Jon Fosse also held his master class for those interested in creative playwriting.
