Book on practices of Nazi allied Slovak state

A book by the historian Marína Zavacká depicting the practices of the Slovak State police was released this week. It consists of the memoirs of Mária Janšáková, the imprisoned wife of a highly ranked official of the Nazi ally country as well as an expert comments. Janšáková was put in jail with no trial despite her husband's position, her Slovak origin and her Catholic faith. The Slovak Academy of Sciences historian Marína Zavacká has been studying the history of propaganda and how loyalties to different regimes in the 20th century were built. The book presents not only real time diaries but also documentary pictures and photographs.
