The crème de la crème of the world of animated films, cartoons and computer games will be presented at the 11th International Animation Festival Fest Anča. The whole event starts in exactly one week's time; the 28th of June, in the northern Slovak town of Žilina. The special guests will include Bulgarian-Canadian experimental film director and an OSCAR nominee Theodore Ushev. Besides commemorating 100 years since the establishment of the first Czechoslovak Republic as well as 25 years of the existence of independent Slovak animation films, Fest Anča will also focus on cartoons as a propaganda tool. The topic will be discussed by Michal Bobrowski who has been doing his research on propaganda in animated films for several years. The festival will be held until the 1st of July.
