On October 11, 2018, visitors of the Bienale of animation Bratislava festival had the opportunity to see a special screening of the film The Red Turtle. Its Dutch director Michael Dudok de Wit, the winner of the Academy Award for the best short animated film in 2001, was introduced by the Italian historian of animated films Giannalberto Bendazzi, the author of the book "Animation - A World History".
