Don't be afraid of the avant-garde! is part of the title of an exhibition presenting 90 years of the establishment of the School of applied arts in Bratislava. Since Thursday, December 13, it has been displaying original works and period documents as well as the context of the era of the first Czechoslovak Republic and the Bratislava avant-garde. The School of applied arts in Bratislava was the first art academy in the country, identified as one of the most progressive art schools in Europe, many times likened to the famous Bauhaus in Germany. The exhibition will be on display in Bratislava castle until the end of September 2019. Organised by the Slovak Design Center, it will be included in the celebrations of the aforementioned Bauhaus centenary in 2019.
