On 16th January, the private Nedbalka gallery in Bratislava opened an exhibition presenting the Slovak iconic artist Koloman Sokol. The final period of his work, dated 1968-1993, evinces a radical shift in the artist's visual style. Sokol, who first moved to the USA in 1941, established the graphic arts department at the Fine Arts Academy in Mexico, decided to leave Slovakia for good in 1948, and recorded an international success. A guided tour presenting the life and work of this expressionist will be held on 30th January in Bratislava.
