Thanks to the European Economic Area (EEA) grants, Slovakia can spend up to €17.5 million on the Culture programme. A conference focused on the usage of grants for culture took place last Friday in Bratislava. According to the Government's Office, such grants could in many cases save some national cultural monuments from total destruction. Approximately €113 million has been allocated to Slovakia in the current programme period for the usage of the EEA and Norway grants. Chargé d'affaires of the Norwegian Embassy in Slovakia, Per Oystein Vatne, as well as other foreign guests participated in the event.
