Slovakia sends condolences to Italy

Slovak President Andrej Kiska and Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák sent condolences to their Italian counterparts after a bombing in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Friday July 1. As many as nine Italians, seven Japanese, an Indian, an American and two local men were killed in the attack. "The Slovak Republic, from its position as a presiding country of the EU Council, is dedicated to continue fighting the global threat of terrorism," wrote Andrej Kiska in his telegram. The Jihadist group Islamic State has claimed responsibility for carrying out the attack.
