Weapon used in Munich attack allegedly made in Slovakia

The weapon used by the attacker who killed 9 people and injured another 35 in a shopping mall in Munich was allegedly made in Slovakia and purchased on the black market. This is according to German media which report that the reconstruction of the serial number pointed to Slovakia. However, German law enforcement agencies haven't so far asked the Slovak Interior Ministry for cooperation regarding the case. Slovak statesmen have sent condolences to their German counterparts regarding the shooting. "Often advocating themselves with religion, they vent their own frustration, hate and inability to live in a modern and developed world," wrote President Andrej Kiska on Facebook. Prime Minister Robert Fico called the attack inexcusable. "I am in constant contact with our security services. In Slovakia, the highest security measures are in force at the moment," said Fico. Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko also condemned the shooting. "No words of sorrow can replace the lives of innocent people and will not help the families of the victims in their grief," wrote Danko.
