Government concerned about Slovaks working in the UK

Responding to British Prime Minister Theresa May's speech on Tuesday, Slovak Premier Robert Fico said on Wednesday that the EU shouldn't emerge from Brexit talks weakened with the UK strengthened. Just as the British Cabinet can be expected to pursue the interests of its citizens first and foremost during talks with the EU, Fico promised that he would likewise take into account the interests of Slovak and EU citizens. As he went on to say, an important consideration for Slovakia will be the position of Slovaks living in the UK. The Labour Minister Ján Richter believes that the Slovaks who have work permits will still be interesting for British companies after Brexit. Nevertheless, the Labour Ministry will keep a close eye on Brexit's potential impact on the Slovaks living in Britain.
