Almost 2,000 trees did not survive the strong winds which occurred in the High Tatras and in Pieniny National Park last week, wrote TASR. The number represents more than 1300 cubic metres of timber. The wind also damaged facilities belonging to the Tatra National Park State Forest Company and caused overall damage at the level of €3,000. As Štefan Zavacký of the Tatra National Park State Forest Company said, all tourist trails in these areas are accessible.
