Young Slovak ice hockey players in the under 18 category have advanced to the quarterfinals at the World Championship on home ice in the eastern Slovak towns of Poprad and Spišská Nová Ves. They won their final game of the group stage 2:1 against Switzerland and thus ended third in the A-Group. On Thursday April 20, they will face the second team of the B-group - Russia in the play-off phase.
