Slovakia to pay sanctions for mistakes in public procurements

Mistakes in public procurements for several projects that took place from 2007 to 2013 are the reasons why Slovakia had to pay Brussels sanctions of 92 million euro. On Wednesday, the public broadcaster RTVS informed about a document confirmed by the state authorities, which states the amount and reasons of the sanctions. The mistakes concerned the Operational Program "Information Society" (OPIS), where projects for example had discriminatory conditions for tenderers, missed overall calculation of the contract value or had confusing deadlines for delivery.
