As the Statistics Office of the Slovak Republic stated, the numbers of those in Slovakia with employment reached almost 2.37 million in the second quarter of this year. This is a year-on-year increase of more than 2.1 %, and compared to the first quarter of 2017, the employment rate rose by 0.6 %. This quick estimate will now have to be adjusted, based on additional statistical and administrative data with statisticians expected to present the completed data on September 5.
