Postgraduate students of the University of Žilina will be able to attend study stays at the prestigious University of California at Berkeley. The Slovak postgraduate students should focus there on intelligent transport, with the aim of building platforms for car innovations in Slovakia. The Strategic Partnership Agreement between the universities was signed on Thursday in San Francisco. According to Peter Pellegrini, the vice-premier for investments and informatization, his office will be responsible for the funding of these study stays. Jozef Ristvej, the Vice-Rector of the University of Žilina added that the maximum number of students in the program would be four: either PhD students or young researchers.
