Slovakia views South Korea as a modern society with democratic trends, said Slovak Parliamentary Chairman Andrej Danko after meeting his South Korean counterpart Chung Sye-kyun in Bratislava on Thursday. "We have rich cultural exchanges, developing university cooperation, support for personal contacts, city partnerships, and we also seek to raise public awareness of our countries," said Danko. At the same time, he expressed his appreciation for how the National Assembly President perceived the problems of the workers in Korean factories in Slovakia. "I clearly declared the need for social dialogue at these companies," said Danko. Meanwhile the South Korean parliamentary speaker said that good relations should also be translated into tourism and other spheres. He congratulated Slovakia on its good global position and expressed gratitude for its interest in dealing with problems concerning North Korea.
