The Finance Ministry is due to simulate the existence of spending limits along ordinary state budgets, Finance Minister Peter Kažimír stated on a prime-time weekend public radio talk show. As he explained, the ministry plans to do so in order to see whether it is viable to consolidate public finances even without the spectre of fines from Brussels or near public debt brake limits. Kažimír was echoing an earlier call by the macro-economic expert Ludovit Odor from the state Budgetary Responsibility Council.
