M. R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava processed 1.94 million passengers throughout 2017, which amounts to eleven percent in growth and third best operational result in the history of the airport, TASR learnt on Wednesday. "In 2017, we came close to the threshold of two million passengers. We recorded an all-time high vacation season, during which the charter transport swelled by 35 percent," said airport general director Jozef Pojedinec. Overall, 27,322 flights took place at the airport in the Slovak capital city, a year-on-year growth of six percent. Most passengers travelled via Bratislava Airport to London, Dublin, Antalya, Milan and Moscow, with the most popular airline being Ryanair.
