The EU-funded Operational Programme Research and Innovations 2014-2020 will be updated, reads the material that was presented by Education, Science, Research and Sports Minister Martina Lubyová (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee) on Wednesday and subsequently approved. "Even after the changes are made, support will be maintained for all the investment priorities of the operational programme, with an emphasis on supporting business investments in research and innovation and creating interconnections and synergies between enterprises, research and academia, which will remain the most supported priority within the operational program," reads the material. After the change, the programme aims to have a positive impact on the business environment and small and medium-sized enterprises, as activities to support these businesses in Bratislava region will be expanded.
