Corrupt and still breaking human rights

Amnesty International states that 159 countries worldwide are breaking human rights, Slovakia included. This is primarily for the country's attitude towards migrants and the Roma minority. Furthermore, Transparency International revealed its Corruption Perceptions Index 2017, in which Slovakia ranked in 54th place out of 180. The index ranks countries and territories by their perceived levels of public sector corruption according to experts and businesspeople. It uses a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean. Slovakia obtained 50 points. Gabriel Šípoš, the director of Slovak branch of Transparency International thinks that if Slovakia was to further stagnate in terms of corruption, the country could be among the four most corrupt countries within European Union by 2020.
