Slovakia refutes Russia's allegations of Bratislava storing Novichok

Slovakia rejects allegations claiming that the novichok nerve agent could have originated from Slovakia. Foreign and European Affairs Ministry state secretary Ivan Korčok said at the session of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Monday: "I used the debate to reject vehemently any connection with Slovakia." He also added that he considers this absurd and unsubstantiated. Korčok thinks the debate should go in the direction of Russia dispelling concerns of employing the nerve agent, produced in the Soviet Union in 1970s and 1980s, and answering questions raised by Great Britain. Foreign affairs ministers of the European Union approved a strongly worded resolution on the attack using novichok nerve agent on the soil of Great Britain.
