Police Chief Tibor Gašpar is to step down from his post on May 31st. The announcement made by Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini at a common press conference with Gašpar on Tuesday afternoon came only hours after the Police Chief said he would not resign on his own to please protesters on the streets. The resignation came at the Prime Minister's request.
