Slovak economy to grow by 4.1% this year

The performance of the Slovak economy will grow by 4.1% this year, reaching growth of 4.5% next year, reads the latest forecast from the Finance Ministry's Financial Policy Institute. However, in 2020 and 2021, the report states that country's economic growth should slow to 3.9% or 3.3%. Compared to the forecast released in January this year, only slight changes have occurred in the future outlook. The National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) likely predicts that the Slovak economy will grow, but its figure is slightly more conservative for this year, with growth estimated at 4%. Next year, however, the NBS estimates the economy to grow by 4.8%. This was stated by NBS Vice-Governor Ľudovít Ódor at a Tuesday press conference.
