More than €52 million will be given to hundreds of elementary schools in Slovakia, with the money being designated to improve equipment in language and technical classrooms, libraries and to support reading, mathematical and natural science literacy, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Gabriela Matečná (Slovak National Party/SNS) and Education Minister Martina Lubyová (an SNS nominee) announced at a joint press conference in Bratislava on Wednesday. "645 projects were submitted in the first round of an EU fund call, out of which 352 projects worth €33 million were approved," said Matečná.
