Three members of the US army, including one woman, were injured in an accident involving an Abrams tank during the 2018 Slovak Shield military exercise in Lešť, central Slovakia, early on Wednesday, Slovak Defence Ministry spokesperson Danka Capaková informed TASR on the same day. Almost 1,500 Slovak soldiers and members of foreign missions of the Armed Forces are participating. The Slovak Shield 2018 event is focused on current security threats. The training is considered to be one of the most important military trainings in Central Europe.
