A convoy with humanitarian aid from Slovakia worth more than €212,000 has arrived in Iraq, the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry announced on Wednesday. Medical devices, back-up generators, humanitarian materials as well as children's toys will be distributed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to six medical facilities in the city of Mosul over the next few days. Mosul has asked for assistance in dealing with the aftermath of last year's fighting against extremists from Islamic State. The city was devastated, with six of its eight hospitals destroyed during the battles.
