Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) is set to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in mid-November, with his first official visit to Azerbaijan set to take place between November 12-14, focusing on developing Slovak-Azerbaijani relations and economic partnerships. In addition, Slovakia and Azerbaijan are expected to hold talks on international topics. "With regard to Slovakia's upcoming OSCE presidency, attention will also be paid to the regional situation in the Southern Caucasus," stated the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry, which proposed the visit. The prime minister's official visit to Kazakhstan will take place between November 15-16, with Pellegrini to be accompanied by a group of Slovak entrepreneurs. The Foreign Affairs Ministry states that the official visit also aims at developing relations with Central Asian countries.
