Protests’ organisers questioned by police

Five of the organisers of the series of protests under the banner "For a decent Slovakia" that have taken place in Bratislava and other localities this year, have been questioned by the National Anti-Corruption and Criminal Agency, one of the organisers Juraj Šeliga told the public radio on Tuesday. The police elite unit have been acting following an anonymous complaint accusing the protest organisers of preparing a coup d'état and getting funds from businessman George Soros. The protests erupted after the murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée in February with then Prime Minister Robert Fico, who resigned shortly afterwards, being the first to accuse Juraj Šeliga and his colleagues of preparing a coup d'état and getting funds from businessman George Soros. He has repeated the accusations in an interview for the Czech news website Echo 24 recently. The protests' organisers see the current police investigation as harassment.
