Slovak households will pay more for energy next year, said the head of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) Ľubomír Jahnátek. The prices of electricity, natural gas, and heat will go up following a growth in the prices of the commodities on global markets. Households in Slovakia will pay an additional 60 cents to €7 for electricity per month depending on the supplier and the purchased volume. For gas, households will pay by between 91 cents to €5.31 per month more depending on the consumption category and which company they buy gas from. The regulator decided to increase heating prices too by €1.85 per month.
