Wednesday's meeting between President Andrej Kiska, Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák and Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini has not brought any decision concerning Lajčák's resignation even if Kiska promised to do so a day before. The top Slovak diplomat who handed in his resignation last week over Parliament's rejection of the UN Global Migration Pact discussed his position with the President on Tuesday morning. On Monday, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini tried to persuade Lajčák to change his mind and asked Kiska not to accept the Foreign Minister's resignation. He now says that a final decision on this matter will be taken in the next few days and weeks.
