The Slovak Parliament will decide about limiting the retirement age to 64 years in the Constitution on January 29th next year. The vote was supposed to take place on Thursday, however, it was postponed for the second time after the first postponing in October. This time, parliament agreed to the proposal of the major coalition Smeru-SD party MP Ján Podmanický to put the vote on hold. As the proposal to limit the retirement age is actually an amendment to the Slovak constitution, it needs approval from three thirds of Parliament, which means 90 MPs.
