Slovakia and the US concur on need to support Ukraine

It is necessary to continue supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity as well as the reform processes necessary for the fulfilment of Kiev's EU integration aspirations. Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák agreed on this with the United States Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan, who held talks during Sullivan's visit to Slovakia on Wednesday. Since Ukraine is Slovakia's neighbour to the East, Lajčák told Sullivan that the development in Ukraine would also be one of the main topics of the Slovak OSCE presidency in 2019. At the meeting, Lajčák also called on maintaining Euro-Atlantic co-operation.
