Slovak cyclist Peter Sagan, racing for the Bora-Hansgrohe team, recorded his premiere triumph of the new season, when he won the 3rd Stage at the Tour Down Under in South Australia. In the final sprint of the 146 km long stage, he finished ahead of Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana Pro Team) and Daryl Impey (Mitchelton - Scott). "So I won - only by a little bit - but I won, and I'm very happy about that," Sagan told the media after stepping down off the podium.
