The TASR press agency informed on Friday that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo would pay a visit to Slovakia next week. On Tuesday, he is scheduled to hold talks with the Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak. "The two officials will … discuss bilateral issues, current security and foreign-political issues, as well as the priorities of the Slovak presidencies of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)," stated the Foreign Ministry. The meeting will also be an opportunity to stress the importance and practical significance of the transatlantic partnership and present Slovakia's and the EU's positions on regional and global issues. During his visit to Slovakia, Pompeo is set to meet President Andrej Kiska and Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, too.
