On Monday, the junior coalition Most-Híd party announced that it would support the public election of the constitutional judges. The party thus wants to avoid speculation regarding the vote on backstage agreements between the largest governing SMER-SD party with the far right Kotleba - People's Party Our Slovakia (ĽSNS). "The Most-Híd party observes with deep concerns tactical games being played among some parties," wrote the party's spokesperson Klára Debnár regarding the medialized information on negotiations between SMER-SD and ĽSNS. The MPs should start voting for the constitutional judge candidates on Tuesday. Once they choose 18 potential judges, the president should subsequently choose 9 of them to take the posts.
