Medical records were altered after Henry Acorda’s death

Henry Acorda's medical records were altered after his death, stated Daniel Zeman, a lawyer at the University Hospital in Bratislava in his witness statement in court on Thursday. The former head of the hospital's radiology clinic, Vladimír J., confirmed that he changed Henry Acorda's health card a few days after the Filipino's death, having never examined the patient in person. He claimed that he found evidence in Acorda's CT scans that he had suffered from a brain aneurysm even before the attack took place, and that he changed the records to reflect this finding. The prosecutor in the case said that the post-mortem examination ruled out aneurysm. The 36-year old Filipino Henry Acorda was attacked in the centre of Bratislava last year at the end of May by Juraj H, with the victim dying in hospital several days later. The 28 year-old Slovak Juraj H said he was drunk at the time and admitted beating Acorda, who had tried to defend two young ladies whom Juraj H was verbally harassing. If found guilty he faces 12 years in prison. The court trial will continue in May.
