Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) stated on Tuesday that he is among those "several" EU leaders who'll be ready to back a postponement of Brexit at the extraordinary EU summit in Brussels on Wednesday. "None of us really wishes the exit, but it should be linked with specific steps and proposals by Britain, who must say what will happen during this postponement and deliver tangible results," said Pellegrini. The prime minister expects there to be several conditions for the delay, which should be monitored regularly. He was speaking amid the latest reports that the EU might agree to a further delay of Brexit from its current date of 12 April to 30 June, or may push for a longer delay of up to a year.
