A plaque commemorating 250 Jewish prisoners who were forced to build the foundations for the MŠK Žilina football club's stadium in 1941-43 was unveiled at the stadium on Wednesday. The initiator of the plaque is US professor Kevin Simpson of John Brown University. "Educating and getting that information to people is primarily important to me. It's necessary to remember the apathy and idleness of people, which in the end led to a catastrophe, as no one spoke up," said Simpson. The owner of the stadium Jozef Antošík likes Simpson's idea. "He addressed me, explained to me what he would like to do in Slovakia. We are sportsmen and I'm of the opinion that football should connect people," stated Antošík.
