Prime Minister concludes visit to Russia

Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini gave a speech at the St Petersburg economy forum on Friday. He was participating in the panel dealing with sustainable development along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, UN General Secretary António Guterres and Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the Slovak delegation's visit to Russia, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak informed the media on Thursday that if the need arose for a meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Slovakia could host it at its August commemoration of the WW2 Slovak National Uprising in Banska Bystrica. "We don't want to turn this into a race. The commemorations won't hinge on who shows up and who doesn't. It's our celebration, for our people," stated Lajcak.
