Unemployment in Slovakia mildly rose in June

Unemployment in Slovakia grew in June by 0.09 percentage points month-on-month to 4.97%, show the Labour Ministry's data. The unemployment rate counted from the entire number of jobseekers grew to 6.04 %. Out of the eight Slovak regions, the number of people without a job dropped only in the Prešov region and rose in the remaining seven ones. As of the end of June, the Labour Office registered over 93,000 vacancies. Out of them, the highest number was in the Bratislava region and the lowest in the Banská Bystrica region.
