Fewer orders in Slovak industry

For the first time in the year, purchase orders in industry dropped in Slovakia. According to the Statistics office, the year-on-year decline is 8,7% while the month-on-month figure represents a drop of 6,3%. The situation has been influenced by developments in car production which makes up more than half of the total volume of orders in industry. In June, car production recorded 7% fewer purchase orders than in the same month last year.
