Parliament voted on Thursday to approve a comprehensive amendment to the Forests Act, which clarifies the protection of forest land and re-evaluates the conditions for carrying out accidental logging. This kind of logging should now be taken into consideration on a stricter basis. MPs are also sending to a second reading the amendment to the Commercial Code according to which the business register should be exclusively in electronic form with non-active entities excluded. The house also approved the act of strengthening the rights of foreign employees sent to work in Slovakia.
