The parliamentary foreign affairs committee has adopted a resolution in which it calls on the Slovak Government to immediately suspend export licenses for military equipment to Turkey within the co-ordinated action of EU member states and to call on Turkey to withdraw its army from Syria, the committee chairwoman Katarina Csefalvayova (Independent) informed the TASR press agency on Thursday. In its resolution, the committee also recommends that Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) support all political and economic measures at the European Council meeting, which would aim to make Turkey halt military operations. The committee also rejects Turkey's threats to EU countries. It also expressed concern at the aggression of the Turkish armed forces in Syria and condemns the Turkish invasion.
