Health Minister Andrea Kalavská (a Smer-SD nominee) will submit her resignation to the Slovak President on Tuesday, according to her spokesperson Zuzana Eliašová. Kalavská mentioned her intention to resign last week after the Government withdrew the hospital reform bill from parliamentary debate. "I think that how Smer-SD party has treated me shouldn't be how a party treats its own minister," Kalavská said. Last week Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini asked her to stay on. President Zuzana Čaputová will deal with Health Minister Andrea Kalavská's (a Smer-SD nominee) resignation as soon as she recovers from her current illness and returns to the Presidential Palace.
