Statistics: Registered unemployment in January reached 4.98%

The registered unemployment rate in Slovakia stood at 4.98 percent in January, having dropped by 0.28 percentage points year-on-year, and going up by 0.06 p.p. in monthly terms. This is the latest data released by the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre on Thursday. The number of jobseekers immediately able to start work stood at 137,087, falling by 4.95 percent y-o-y. The total number of jobseekers dropped by 4.21 percent to 168,757.
