Just recently the Slovak folk group Ostroha celebrated 10 years of its existence. The group, whose name in English means spur, unites folk loving Slovaks in the Irish capital, Dublin.

Slovak people, or slovenský ľud, have a fictional character on the internet, a character that collects all the Slovak traditional songs. We are talking about Ľudo slovenský, a project developed by the writer and IT specialist Tomáš Ulej and his team. According to Jana Ambrózová, an ethno-musicologist and an expert supervisor for Ľudo Slovenský, sharing traditions via the internet is just the latest form of traditional culture.
