Ballet vs tech: using virtual reality to combat empty theatres

From symphonies to opera to dance, theatre attendance numbers worldwide have been in a steady decline. This has largely been to the increasing age in average theatre-goer. So how can classical forms of performed art fight back against statistics? One avenue is the use of new technology called virtual reality. Gavin Shoebridge investigates how the Slovak National Theatre has merged this budding technology with ballet with curious result, even putting it to some harsh critics: the staff at Radio Slovakia International.
